Occupational Therapy treatment is usually delivered in blocks of 6 sessions. These
take place once-per- week, with a review at the end of each block. Your sessions will
be provided with the same therapist who will monitor your child's progress.
The therapist will also update you on any changes which may be required in the home or
school environment to ensure the optimal support is provided for your child.
School intervention is a key element in our service delivery for best results, thus it is
important to get the school involved from the beginning to ensure that any relevant
issues are addressed early and promptly, to maximise occupational therapy
outcomes and results
The Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI) promotes Occupational Therapy through leadership, standards of practice, ethics, governance, education, research and advocacy on behalf of its members and in line with the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
